  1. No regular animation
    3d animation would be AWESOME
  2. I want a Empire/ early rebellion era, like b4 ANH but after EPIII . Ya know, maybe even like close after EPIII to see a younger vader... OOOO! SW BOBA FETT! It'll be like the book series, just not as lame and after EPIII!
  3. I voted for a new animated series. If you get into live action, you have to be very careful.

Think it would be cool if they did a cartoon on Rogue Squadron. With all-new characters that we can connect with on a weekly basis. That or a Star Wars TALES kind of thing where each episode is a random adventure. Some would be 2-part and/or 3-part episodes too of course.

As for the Clone Wars, keep it at 3 minutes long and give us another cartoon series.

  4. I'd like to see 'Shadows of the Empire' made into a cartoon form.
  5. I think a series after Episode III and before Episode IV would be incredibly cool. I agree with Sithman about a bunch of television series cheapening the franchise, but as long as it wasn't overdone like Star Trek, I think it would be alright. Maybe have it run a season or two, but they'd be full-length (30 minute) episodes.
  6. X-Wing Rogue Squadron live action series of TV movies/mini-series, if not a weekly thing. If Lucas were willing to let someone else direct/produce my suggestion would be either Kevin Smith(long time SW fan) or Tom DeSanto & Bryan Singer(X-Men & X2) assuming any of these guys would be willing to get involved with TV again. DeSanto & Singer were developing a TV revival of another Sci-Fi saga with the initials BG for FOX in 2001, but that fell through. Han Solo and Chewbaca prior to episode 4 would also be interesting, too. Rodney Rowland(Space:Above & Beyond)would be a good choice to portray Han 30 years younger than the character would be now. I'd like to see Han & Chewie make that now famous Kessel Run.
  7. I would absolutley love to see Tartakovsky do 5 more micro series' just like the Clone Wars. I think the Clone Wars series is brilliant.

    Here's my wish list:

Series 1. - Backstory for TPM - There are so many possibilities here! Qui-Gon trainning Obi-Wan, Count Dooku on the council, the telling of the prophecy, Palpatine's background or master, Mace's background... The possibilities are endless!

Series 2 - Bridge between TPM & ATOC - This would be the story of Anakin growing up with Obi-Wan as his "father" figure.

Series 3 - Clone Wars - It bridges ATOC & EPIII and it kicks butt!

Series 4 - Bridge between EPIII & ANH - This could be the coolest of them all. Darth Vader kicks some serious butt! All the remaining Jedi are wiped out. This would also parallel my 2nd desired series in the sense that Palpatine is acting like Anakin's "father" figure as opposed to Obi-Wan.

Series 5 - Bridge between ANH & ESB - The stories of Luke, Han, Chewie, Leia and all those classic characters we love. The possibilities are endless

Series 6 - Bridge between ESB & ROTJ - The stories of Luke learning to become a powerful Jedi. The possibilities are endless here too.

I'm not interested in a series that comes after RTOJ, unless there is ever an episode 7.

What do you think? This would keep Tartakovsky pretty busy!

  8. Eh... no more cartoons... Has anyone seen the New Battlestar Galactica? THAT'S the type of stuff taht I'd love to see in a star wars series.
  9. Eh... no more cartoons... Has anyone seen the New Battlestar Galactica? THAT'S the type of stuff taht I'd love to see in a star wars series.

What? A complete disregard for the source material?

  10. What i mean is the way that they constructed teh space battles. The cartoons are good, but the art style won't hold up forever.
  11. I wouldn't mind some more Clone Wars-esque cartoons, between Episode 3 and 4 would be perfect. Cartoons showing Luke growing up on Tatooine would be fun, with Obi-Wan watching over him and stuff, and of course Vader and the Jedi purge. I don't think it would tarnish the image of Star Wars, they would just be like EU books except on TV.
  12. I definitely wouldn't mind some longer Clone Wars chapters, but I'll take whatever Lucasfilm decides to give us.
  13. Miniseries. Best way to get a good story up and about on TV.

I agree. But a longer miniseries about the Clone Wars would be nice. Not Band of Brothers ( 1 1/2 hour per episode ) long, but like 30 min would be nice. Maybe a 10 part series.

  14. What is WRONG with you people? What are you, 3?? :p Animation is fine, but a live action would blow cartoons away! The production value of sci-fi shows has increased dramatically. And you KNOW Lucasfilms would only get the brightest in the business to make the show.
Star Trek has B&B dragging it down...that's totally different.

A live action would have incredible special effects thanks to ILM doing effects (come on, you know they will)

How can you think it would be low budget???? good lord.

  15. Sorry gang but no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! live action. I want more animation and comic books. Yeah, I know that live action can be done very well with special effects, but, unless it has the quality of an Indiana Jones it will suck. Animation is timeless...My hunch is if they do an extended animation series, it will be on the Knights of the Old Republic era. My hunch.
  16. Those who want Star Wars to remain as a legendary series of epic and simply amazing movies, i proclaim:

    That boat sailed in 1983.

Long live franchising and the milking of fanboys!

  17. Owing to some of the fantastic locales and situations in the GFFA, a cartoon series would probably be less exspensive, and probably more feasible than a live action show.

I would like to see more of the Clone Wars. It is such a part of the history of Star Wars that it has a great chance of being succesful.

The other option would be set between EP III & ANH. Darth Vader in full dark side action! All the remaining Jedi are wiped out, and the first days of the Rebel Alliance are shown.

  18. I hope they will make a mini-series about the origins of Palpatine/Darth Sidious, from the time he was recruited as a Sith apprentice up to the point when he became Senator of Naboo. It'd also be cool to see what happened to his master, i.e. did he actually kill his master in order to become the next master and to recruit Darth Maul?
  19. I, for one, would like to see both more animation (though not necessarily the Samari Jack style) and live action. I think that there are so many possibilities for stories that they could go all over the timeline for them. Some could be back in the Tales of the Jedi era, some pre-Ep.1, some set between the various episodes, and some after Ep.6. They could use Animation to do stories that would include characters from the movies (Luke, Vader, Han, Leia, etc.) and use voice actors, and for the live action they could do an original story (say, maybe something along the lines of Rogue Squadron, or even Wraith Squadron type of stories).
  20. It would've been nice to see some Anakin and Padme in the Clone Wars cartoon but old GL didn't want it.
  21. Anakins_Real_Father, you are a genius. Those all sound terrific. The story between Episode III and IV would be awesome!
  22. They sort of do in the Empire Comic series, as well as a couple books. But not much.
  23. I really LOVED "Band of Brothers"... and a SW mini-series in that fashion would be just awesome. (The Ewoks-movies were a "good" start... at least they tried...)

Of course it wouldn't include any of the known characters, instead it just takes place in the SW-universe... maybe containing some known locations like Coruscant (depending on the time period of course), which would make it feel more like Star Wars.

I don't want it to be a long running series, like "Star Trek", but as BoB maybe 10 or so one-hour episodes, telling one big story.

  24. That's why I said to do the X-Wing series, for it has plenly of unknown characters and has lots of action.
  25. I voted for no more because I'm afraid that continuity would eventually be destroyed.
